Five Nights At Freddy’s 3 Complete Gameplay Walkthrough

Complete gameplay walkthroughs are already available for Scott Games’ recent Five Nights at Freddy’s 3. You can learn how to play the game, when to use the audio, how to seal the vents and how to unlock and access the game’s hidden Easter eggs in this complete gameplay walkthrough guide.

There are three different systems, including the ventilation system, the camera system and the audio devices. Each of the systems can fail at any time and if they fail you’ll have to reboot the system from the computer screen. Rebooting takes a short while and will leave you vulnerable as you wait for the system to finish rebooting.

You can seal off vents if you see Freddy or his friends crawling through the ventilation shafts by double clicking on the cam tabs in the camera selection screen.

There’s a three and a half hour playthrough by Nukem Dukem. He dies often so you’ll definitely learn what not to do. Things don’t get underway until after the six minute mark. Check it out below.

9:40, epic freakout.

I do have to admit that Nukem Dukem makes some pretty great content and his commentary is usually more helpful than not.

It’s interesting that even with the amount of times he had to start over the game could be completed within four hours. For $7.99 I guess gamers would have to question if that’s worth the price of entry.

There are a couple of upgrades this time around to the game, such as Freddy and his gang now have moving animations. So instead of just an image of them popping up to scare the dried, crusty crap out of you, you’ll actually see the animatronic puppets walking around. Okay… I’ll admit it… seeing Freddy and the gang walking around like that is actually kind of scary.

I jumped… just a few times… but no pee came out. I promise.

Getting back on track, the balloon bot – if you see him on camera – will scare you in-game. Literally, your in-game character will get scared and it will force your screen to fade out and automatically cause the ventilation system to fail. So if you see the balloon bot on camera, look away!

Funnily enough Nukem quips, after dying for like the fifth time…

“Next time I go to this job, I’m just gonna bring a gun… or an EMP.”

One of the things that tripped up a lot of people is that Scott changed up the way the game is played this time around. It’s a lot simpler and yet at the same time a lot more complex. The micromanagement process is more timing based than skill based.

YouTuber NoahJ456 also has an alternate walkthrough available, beating the game in under two hours, which you can check out below.

One of the real tricks is learning how to utilize the audio. For the vents you simply lock the vent on the camera where the animatronic puppet shows up. For the audio, if you play it on camera 1 or camera 2 when the puppet shows up in front of the security room window, it’ll lure them away. You can also play the audio in a different room from the animatron to lure them to that room by clicking on a camera where they aren’t located.

Also, as revealed by NoahJ456, you can access the specially hidden Balloon Boy mini-game in Five Nights at Freddy’s 3 by clicking on the poster in camera 8.

After you complete the Balloon Boy Easter egg mini-game, it’s right back to the basics. It’ll reset the night for you, which is a nice way to avoid dying, not that it matters.

The tension built up on night four and night five almost becomes palpable, with Noah stating…

“I will have freaking nightmares because of these animatronics.”

Noah’s not the only one. A lot of people are genuinely freaked out by the Freddy Fazbear animatronics and people are constantly looking it up, even on sites like One Angry Gamer. Seriously, if this were a movie it could make a lot of money.

If you’re looking for one extra Easter egg there’s one on camera 3 to the far right… click on the cupcake.

As a final piece of advice: on Night 5 the one thing you’ll definitely want to avoid is having the balloon boy stare you down and prevent you from doing anything. You’ll want to be sure to lock off the proper vents and keep the balloon boy from getting the jump on you. So long as you keep him from locking you down you’ll be able to get through the final night.
