Boob Simulator Updated With Better Physics, Realistic Lighting

Rathren, a developer working on soft-physics boob simulation (because obviously, someone has to… am I right?) has been steadily upgrading and updating his game called Boob Simulator. The project is an indie solo endeavor that will see players being able to interact with different kinds of boobs under different kinds of physics-based situations. It’s been updated with better rigid and soft body support, as well as plans to include Leap Motion controls for virtual reality interactivity. As ridiculous as this sounds, this is a real game.

The project is running on the Unreal Engine 4 and contains a lot of custom scripts and design mechanics that Rathren put together in order to get the engine to properly simulate soft-body physics.

Just as a quick crash course, soft-body physics are an extremely demanding physics simulation process where tiny micro-voxels or solid particles are used to simulate wave and pressure sensitive motion. This may sound kind of complicated and technical, but this has become a standard in design schematics for a lot of 3D projects in recent years. We’re also expected to see a crude version of this technology applied to Crackdown 3 in the summer of 2016 for the Xbox One.

A real-time example of soft-body or position-based physics would be this really cool Nvidia PhysX demo where you can see how tiny spheres are used to form liquid physics. Check it out below from GamesHQMedia.

At the 1:25 mark you can see how the liquid looks without the water overlay. It’s basically just those micro-voxels mentioned before, moving with temporal relativity to how water-based motion would move.

A video from Bits and Chips helps showcase how the particle simulations featured in the video have stable physical boundaries and can be used to simulate gases, liquids and even soft and rigid-body simulations. Check it out below.

So what does all that have to do with Rathren’s Boob Simulator? Well, because Rathren is using the same technology as above along with Nvidia’s Flex to help further improve on his project, only instead of the demo being centered around liquid or particle simulation, it’s centered on boob simulation.

There have been some pretty big leaps made from his last demo a few months ago, and he has managed to get the soft tissue of the mammaries to physically respond to pressure, movement, height, momentum and force in a mostly accurate manner.

Some of you might remember in the original demo that the boobs were very flimsy with poorly structured physical responses. He’s been working on fixing that problem.

You can see how it looks with the latest beta build of Boob Simulator below. It should go without saying that this is a Not Safe For Work (NSFW) video so watch it when no one’s around or when you don’t feel like getting a verbal lashing by your pesky boss.

Over on the Hong Fire forums Rathren mentioned that the next step would include Leap Motion support. As indicated in the video above, he’s already added in real-time dynamic lighting, changeable light positions and he’s working on switching materials that will affect the density and physical attributes of the boobs. As you can see in the video above, he’s already added in a virtual hand that can move, pinch, squeeze and hit based on player commands.
