Postal Redux Set For Release on PC Starting May 20th, PS4 In Q4 2016

Running With Scissors announced that the HD remaster of Postal, appropriately called the Postal Redux, is set for release later this month on May 20th for PC. They also have plans on pumping out a PS4 version sometime in the fourth quarter of 2016.

The developers sent out word recently that the isometric murder-sim that was one of the controversial titles that made waves back in the late 1990s, is making a return to form in an overhauled HD remaster.

Vince Desi, founder of Running With Scissors commented about the game’s HD remaster in the press release, saying…

“19 years ago, we had no clue of the impact that POSTAL would have on society and gaming history.” “On behalf of everyone at RWS we give thanks for the many years of support.”

The game isn’t just making a return with a shiny new coat of graphics, Running With Scissors are also adding in some new game modes as well, including the Rampage Mode. You can get a brief glimpse of the content in the trailer below.

The Rampage Mode is a competitive mode where players will get multipliers for their kills. The more chain kills they get, the more score that gets racked up. The objective is to nab the highest score possible and compete with your friends online to see who can get the highest score.

They also added a new carnival stage that includes new ways to kill and a location with a creepy fairground atmosphere, topped off with the typical overt violence that Postal is known for.

Following the release on Steam for Windows and Mac, the game will also be made available for SteamOS, so those of you rocking Valve’s custom OS… you won’t be left out.

You can learn more about the Postal Redux by either checking out the Steam store page or visiting the official website. Also, don’t be surprised that if any of today’s “culture” critics review the title they’ll likely mark it down given that the puritanical left now controls gaming media. It’s almost no different than the puritanical right from the 1990s.
