Yo-Kai Watch 2 Set To Head West on September 30th

Having been published and developed by Level-5 over in Japan, Yo-Kai Watch offers a familiar concept to Game Freak’s Pokemon series. This same concept applies to the second game, Yo-Kai Watch 2, which is now heading West to the Nintendo 3DS. The RPG adventure is set to be available this year, on September 30th.

That’s right, Yo-Kai Watch 2 will launch for those wielding a 3DS in the west on September 30th, which is the same launch day as Final Fantasy XV. Moreover, the Pokemon-like game will be available in two versions, Yo-Kai Watch 2: Bony Spirits and Yo-Kai Watch 2: Fleshy Souls. Both titles will respectively feature different Yo-Kai that can only be found in that specific game.

Looking over to the content that will be in the second game, the devs will offer the same original fun found in the first RPG adventure, but more. I’m sure like the ongoing Pokemon series, the newer game of Yo-Kai Watch will hold old and new references to acknowledge the first title, while adding something exciting.

In addition to new content, there will be more areas for players to explore, including locations outside of Springdale, and the ability to travel back in time. This is also joined by the addition of 100 more new Yo-Kai to find, and a newly upgraded in-game Yo-Kai watch that offers some nifty features.

Looking over and outside of the game, Hasbro has announced that it will bring some new toys and figurines for fans to collect, which includes the actual Yo-Kai Watch Model Zero, new medals for the watch, accessories and trading cards among others.

Also accompanying the game and toys is the anime, which will premier this Summer. Ahead of the second season airing for the west, Nintendo announced that…

“This season, join Nate, Whisper and Jibanyan as they get the new Yo-kai Watch Model Zero. But just because he has a new watch, that doesn’t mean Nate’s life will get any easier. Season 2 has more Yo-kai, more miniseries, more episodes and, most importantly, more laughs!”

Lastly, the adventure RPG will be out this year for the 3DS, on September 30th. For more information pertaining to the game or the world of Yo-Kai Watch, folks can head on over to yo-kai-world.com.
