Square Enix and Avalanche Studio just showcased a new trailer for Just Cause 3. The new video trailer reveals the Bavarium Sea Heist DLC, which is set to debut on August 11th for those with the Season Pass, and worldwide on August 18th. Just Cause 3 is out now for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

To be honest, I never really cared about this game that much, but for those who do care about Avalanche Studio’s project, some new DLC will be available on August 18th. Fans jumping into the downloadable content will find new stuff like a lightning gun, a drive-able rocket boat and a new research station to infiltrate.

Below is the summary for the Bavarium Sea Heist DLC, which basically covers what is shown in the new trailer:

“Brave the dangerous waters of West Medici in your new rocket boat and infiltrate the Stingray, a mysterious research facility, home of the rarest and strongest weapon ever created by the Eden Corporation. This content pack includes a brand new location to explore, missions, a new challenge type, the heavily armed rocket boat and the devastating “Eden Spark” lightning gun.”

Players are tasked with liberating the Medici coastal waters of Scolio, namely home to the Eden Research station and the strange Stingray base. As players attempt to head to the base, the Loochador (or the heavily armored and battle-ready boat) is said to be a formidable choice to defeat the Black Hand Fleet around the lab area.

Furthermore, the Eden Corporation’s base will hold a special weapon known as the Eden Spark. The lightning gun is said to unleash deadly electrical particles that somehow ties into a new story line.

If you are interested in the above content, there’s a new video that comes in by Just Cause’s official YouTube channel.

Lastly, if you want to get a hold of the Bavarium Sea Heist add-on it runs for $5.99. For more information regarding Just Cause 3 and the new DLC, you can head on over to justcause3.com.

Why a boat and not a hovercraft?

The price is 5.99 which hints they run out of ideas and no one is buying the game anymore, so they toned down the dlc expectations.
