Squad Version 7 Update Teased In New Trailer, Set To Release Soon

Offworld Industries just dropped a new teaser trailer for their tactical FPS MMO, Squad, and it reveals some of the new content that will be in version 7. This includes new driveable vehicles, weapons, armor sets and much more. The game is currently in Early Access, and is for PC via Steam.

I got to say, Squad is a beautiful looking game, and reminds me a little bit of the content on Funker530’s YouTube channel. In other words it’s nice to see a serious indie game that looks nice, with devs that put serious effort into updating their game. However, if you are looking forward to some of the content that was supposed to be in the game last month, it is now said to arrive “soon” based on the new trailer.

Additionally, there will be a lot of new features in version 7 that will alter one’s experience with Squad, although I don’t know if it will be executed correctly, but nonetheless the new content is coming.

This is teased in the latest trailer, and further detailed on the Steam Early Access update page. If you plan to go over to the page there’s a lot of new things noted that got a lot of people excited.

Anyways, you can watch the trailer below that runs for half a minute, which comes in by Squad‘s YouTube channel.

As many veteran players should already know, the game focuses on massive battles that are supposed to capture “combat realism” through teamplay:

“Squad is a 50 vs 50 multiplayer first-person shooter that aims to capture combat realism through communication and teamplay. Major features include vehicle-based combined arms gameplay, large scale environments, base building, and integrated positional VoIP for proximity talking & radio.”

Lastly, this brings us to the goodies. Folks will gain access to the M1151 HMMWV, M939 Truck, Ural 375D and the BTR-80 APC. As for UI and weapon options, a new logistic system will be added, a radial menu, the PPH-41, SKS, M110 SASS, G3 series, RPG HEAT Rocket, RKG-3 AT Grenade and the heavy DShK-M machine gun will arrive, too.

If you want to play the game it is currently in Early Access and runs for $39.99 on Steam. To learn more about Version 7, you can hit up squad.com.
