Turtle Beach Reveals First Stealth 350VR Headset For VR Devices
Stealth 350VR

Turtle Beach was on hand at this year’s GamesCom event in Cologne, Germany. They revealed that they have three new headsets inbound for gamers, including the Stealth 520, Stealth 420X+, the brand new VR-ready Stealth 350VR, along with a specifically designed Stream Mic for live-stream gaming.

Despite market forecasts scaling back on the potential revenue that VR is expected to take in this year and many other analysts feeling a lot less bullish about the market, Turtle Beach’s Juergen Stark, the CEO of the company, is still all-in on the enthusiast pastime, saying in the press release…

“VR appears to continue gaining momentum as we head into the fourth quarter, and we’ve recently announced one of the first gaming headsets specifically built to take the VR audio experience from good to amazing. We’ve also created the first live-streaming mic that is designed to work with both consoles as well as PC and Mac. And we’re now expanding our line of products featuring our proprietary Superhuman Hearing technology with two new fully wireless gaming headsets – all of which are expected to be available in time for the holidays.”

So what makes the Stealth 350VR gaming headset any special beyond what the other headset offers? Well, according to the press release the Stealth 350VR is designed to have head-room clearance for VR headbands and cables. It features 50mm neodymium speakers, fabric-wrapped memory foam cushions with an over-the-ear design, and a removable noise-canceling microphone.

The Stealth 350VR is set to launch on October 9th just ahead of the PlayStation VR for $79.99. The headset, while designed for VR gaming, will be compatible with Xbox One, PS4 and PC rigs.

As for the Stream Mic, it’s a new kind of microphone designed for high-quality recording for live-streamers capturing footage and providing commentary for console, mobile and PC games alike. It features zero-latency audio headphone output, accurate audio monitoring levels, and dual-capsule mic arrays with advanced digital processing. You can expect to pay $99.99 for the Turtle Beach Stream Mic. It launches closer to the tail end of October on the 23rd and will be compatible with Twitch, YouTube and MLG.tv.
