Defiant Development released a new trailer for the upcoming card collecting combat game, Hand of Fate 2. The trailer is short and snazzy, giving a brief overlook at the game’s world that lives and breathes outside the deck that players will use in an attempt to get revenge for the shady and mystical dealer.
The trailer is only 47 seconds long and was recently uploaded to the Defiant Development channel. It features a voiceover of what has become of the world over the course of a hundred years since the original Hand of Fate.
The game sees players taking on the role of a potential hero who is being positioned in a game of life and death where the fate of the kingdom hangs in the balance. The deckbuilding CCG has a number of new mechanics to play off of, including new table features, new companions that you can bring onto the battlefield with you, along with new opponents and challenges in the matches to keep you on your toes and challenge your wits.
During this past year’s E3 the team at Defiant Development managed to put together a playable demo that was featured on IGN. You can see what the gameplay video looks like below in case you missed it before.
The mixture of hack-and-slash elements fused with choosing the right cards, attempting to earn gold and building your deck along the way seems like it could prove to be a lot of fun for gamers looking for a very in-depth CCG, especially something that takes the sort of world building elements and dungeon master tactics from the tabletop versions of Dungeons & Dragons.
You can look for Hand of Fate 2 to launch on the Xbox One and PC in early 2017. For more info be sure to pay a visit to the official website.
