Milkmaid of the Milky Way: Point-And-Click Adventure Comes To Greenlight

Milkmaid of the Milky Way is a game that was put together by lone indie developer Mattis Folkestad, AKA MachineBoy.

Milkmaid of the Milky Way is a retro 2D pixel art point-and-click adventure game that takes place in the 1920s in Norway. A young woman named Ruth is on her cow farm when she is suddenly thrust into a new world that is far bigger than she realized, when a spaceship lands on her farm and whisks her away across the galaxy, and thus her grand adventure begins.

The thing that makes Milkmaid of the Milky Way so impressive is the detail in the animation, the world design, and the fact that the backgrounds are handcrafted and hand painted by a single man! The entire game was also self-funded by Mattis Folkestad, so he literally went up and out of his way to make this game something special. He says that at the moment, the only thing left to do is balance out the platform bits and squash a few bugs and the game will be good to go.

I personally really love how this game looks and the original concept behind it. Milkmaid of the Milky Way will have classic point-and-click elements, puzzles, and one thing that I really want to see is that the developer says that all of the dialogue and in-game text is written completely in rhyme, so that ought to make things quite interesting. At the moment, the developer has put Milkmaid of the Milky Way onto Steam Greenlight and is currently looking for support to help get his game onto Steam, so if you are interested in supporting the game you can follow the above link to cast your vote. Milkmaid of the Milky Way is currently scheduled for a late 2016 release date.
