Unloved, Unreal Engine 4 Shooter Launches On Steam Today

Currently in Early Access, the game based on a Doom 2 mod has made its way through the developmental process and is looking to launch in full today on Steam.

BlueEagle Productions sent out word announcing that Unloved would be launching in full today on Steam. The September 29th release date was set in stone back in August, where a release trailer was put out to help give gamers who were unfamiliar with the first-person shooter an idea of what to expect. You can check it out below.

Throughout August and September, additional content has been added to the game, along with more refined gameplay.

The object of the game is to survive waves of grotesque monsters who want to rip and tear you to shreds. You’ll be able to play through four different game modes that drastically change the way the game can be experienced, including a “Classic Horror” mode, an “Arcade Style” mode, and a “Hot Mode” that the developers are calling one of the most innovative first-person shooter modes made available in years.

Leading up to the game’s release, a cooperative option for the Classic Horror game mode was implemented, along with a cooperative option for the Arcade Mode.

Additionally, a new weapon was added to the stash… the Railgun. A new developer diary was released to showcase the weapon in a nine minute video. You can check it out below.

There are a lot of first-person shooter titles that come out, but very few of them are worthwhile. I really like the horror themes that they’ve managed to capture with Unloved and it looks like a quality made Unreal Engine 4 game.

The four-player co-op title is available right now over on the Steam store. For more information about the game feel free to pay a visit to the official website.
