Zenith, Snarky Action-RPG Launches On Steam, PS4

BadLand Games and Infinigon recently announced that Zenith, the new action-RPG for both PC and the PlayStation 4 has officially launched for $14.99. On Steam the game is discounted by 20% off so you only have to pay $11.99 for the first week of it being on sale. And don’t fret, if you’re gaming on the Xbox One you’ll be able to pick up a digital copy of the title starting September 30th, next week.

The game sees players taking on the role of a wizard named Argus who has pretty much seen it all and done it all. He’s looking to settle down and go about life in a much simpler manner, but that all gets tossed to the side when Argus finds out that a group of spiky-group wannabe heroes are looking to get their hands on some destructive artifacts.

It’s up to players to utilize Argus’ wit and skills to stop the bad guys, stop the wannabe good guys, and keep the land of Zenith safe.

Marc Lopez, co-founder of Infinigon, mentioned in the press release that…

“There’s nothing quite like it out there, and we’re fortunate to have a publishing partner in BadLand Games so that we can bring it to as many players as possible. We can’t wait to read the reviews and receive feedback from console and PC players alike!”

The concept of playing a counter-agent toward heroes from games like Final Fantasy or Ar Tonelico or Breath of Fire is actually pretty funny. If the humor is handled well and the themes are conveyed in a proper way then I can imagine the game being pretty funny on top of its action-RPG setup, which is reminiscent to other isometric titles like Diablo or Torchlight.

There’s plenty of lore and questing to be had, and if you need to take a look at how the game plays out, there’s a trailer for you to view below.

There are special abilities to unlock, combos to discover and more than 25 hours worth of gameplay to engage in.

A decent, mid-budget title seems like a rarity these days but it’s nice to see that they still do exist. Hopefully, Zenith turns out to be a-okay and we’ll get a decent follow-up.

If you want to grab a copy of the game for PC be sure to head to the Steam store. If you’re interested in a PS4 copy, be sure to visit the PlayStation Store. If you’re waiting on the Xbox One copy, you’ll just have to twiddle your thumbs until September 30th. For more info feel free to visit the official website.
