Prey New Trailer Reveals History Behind TranStar And Talos I

Publisher Bethesda and developer Arkane Studios just released a new trailer for Prey that shows an alternate history containing the birth of a new space station, Talos I, and the non-terrestrial threat that resides in space. The first-person action game is set to come out next year for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

Bethesda Softworks released a new trailer that explains the history behind the alternate world of Prey. All things aren’t the same in this universe and sees the U.S. President Kennedy survive, which sets off a turn of events leading to a central conflict.

After the assassination attempt on Kennedy’s life, the alternate world sees him throwing his nation further into the space race by taking control of a U.S./Russian joint program and turning the Russian satellite into a fully functional research and development facility meant for non-terrestrial study.

This station or facility later becomes Talos I, which is an advanced space station owned by the TranStar Corporation. The story is further elaborated on in the description below.

“After awakening on Talos I, Morgan finds the station overrun by a previously contained non-terrestrial entity called Typhon, which the scientists had been studying and using to improve the scope of human abilities. Aided by strange alien-based powers, Morgan must survive the incursion, uncover the mysteries surrounding the Typhon and save humanity from the impending danger aboard the station.”

I’m not really sure how Prey will turn out on release, but if you are seeking more information on this game you can read the full blog post that dives a little bit deeper into the game’s story by heading on over to bethesda.net.

Prey is due out sometime during 2017, and will be available for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
