The Division Patch 1.4 Set To Launch Next Week Across All Platforms

Ubisoft and Massive have announced that Tom Clancy’s The Division will gain the delayed update known as Update 1.4 next week across PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The update is said to overhaul a lot of ongoing problems with the current state of the game, and will introduce new features to help improve re-playability, farming and other base weapon/gear properties.

The very glitchy game known as The Division finally got an official release date for when Update 1.4 will go live across PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Assuming Ubisoft and Massive don’t pull another delay card on fans of the TPS RPG, it is slated to debut on October 25th. Additionally, PC folks are able to test the latest build of Update 1.4 with the PTS version that is currently used for feedback and shaping the update for the better.

The above is further elaborated on in a post by the devs below.

“With Update 1.4 around the corner, we want to take a moment to talk about the Public Test Server. It was a first for Massive, and indeed for Ubisoft, to set one up and now, we are so happy with the results. Without your help and your diligent testing, we wouldn’t have been able to make Update 1.4 what it is. Thousands of players helped test the Update on the PTS for four weeks, giving us valuable feedback, data, and reporting bugs. The information from those players has then spread to the rest of the community – to the forums, YouTube and Reddit, to mention a few places – so that even more people have been able to get involved in the discussion and help improve 1.4.”

You wanna know something that what would be funny? If patch 1.4 contained more glitches and broken features than the launch of The Division. Although there’s no doubt that when the patch releases there will be people like Go Gaming (or Games Glitches) and CronicGamerz, among others, exploiting the update when it drops, but it would be surprising if this patch actually fixed the game for the better.

Lastly, Tom Clancy’s The Division is out now for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, while Update 1.4 is set to drop across said platforms on October 25th. For more info on the status of 1.4 you can head on over to tomclancy-thedivision.ubi.com.
