Sims like Farming Simulator, Transport Fever and Truck Simulator have a very solid fan base that really enjoy the content that is offered in the core gameplay. Well, it seems that Euro Truck Simulator 2, back from 2013, has a new update that will add the Vive La France expansion to the PC game sometime “soon”.
To reinforce that the expansion is coming and not that its words just being said, the devs released a new trailer to confirm that the new Vive La France expansion will hit PC soon. You can check out the trailer with its silly sounding music, courtesy of SCSSoftware.
Following the update with more information, the devs dropped a new blog post stating that the expansion for Euro Truck Simulator 2 is planned to go live on December 5th, 2016. The blog goes into more detail by saying that they (the devs) want to release the expansion at 4 P.M. Prague time (GMT+1) on Monday — which is when the download and purchase option will go live to get the expansion.
As for pricing folks can expect the new expansion to be priced around the Scandinavian map add-on, which the initial price may vary depending on your country/region.
Upon getting the update you will receive an extensive map of France, additional roads and highways to explore, famous landmarks/recognizable places, 15 new cities, rural French villages, enhanced vegetation, new ecosystems, more local companies to work for, a French tollgate system, new industries, and cargoes to haul.
The above is further elaborated on in the description:
“Discover famous landmarks, deliver to expansive industrial areas, navigate complex intersections and interchanges, enjoy visually unique roundabouts inspired by real locations. Transport a variety of new cargo to service new local French companies as well as connecting the region to the rest of Europe.”
