LEGO Worlds Launches February 21st, 2017 For Xbox One, PS4, PC
(Last Updated On: November 29, 2016)

Warner Bros., Interactive Entertainment, TT Games and the LEGO Group announced today that their Minecraft-inspired multiplayer creation game, LEGO Worlds, will officially launch on February 21st, 2017 in North America and on February 24th, 2017 in Europe.

They made the announcement across a number of different platforms, including sending out a press release that Blues captured, where head of production at TT Games, Jonathan Smith, stated…

“In LEGO Worlds, players will go on an exciting journey to become a Master Builder in an open-world made completely of LEGO-built environments,” […] “Whether customizing characters, exploring in vehicles, building structures, or discovering an expansive range of items, characters and creatures throughout the worlds, there’s the freedom to create anything imaginable.”

A separate trailer was released specifically announcing that the game would be arriving on consoles in addition to graduating from Early Access on Steam. You can check out the minute-long trailer below.

The game features flying, diving, driving, climbing, jumping, building, fighting and tons of emergent, player-driven exploration.

Gamers can create and share their worlds, just like with Minecraft, and it’s completely possible to bring almost any thing to life that your mind can think up.

Over on the Steam page they had a more humbled and down-to-Earth approach to the news, explaining that for the past 18 months they’ve been toiling away on LEGO Worlds at TT Games, and that since entering Early Access back in the middle of 2015, they’ll soon be ready to take the game to the next level and launch it in full in early 2017.

The design team didn’t just say that they would launch the title and leave it. It’s mentioned that they plan on offering plenty of post-launch support, writing…

“You’ll also be pleased to hear that we plan to continue to support Worlds for the foreseeable future with a host of regular updates planned throughout the year which will introduce more of your highly requested features, as well as our own!”

They don’t say what they plan on offering post launch, but just about everything they wanted to stuff into the game while it was in Early Access has made its way inside, from day and night cycles, to additional building tools, to improved backend systems, painting themes and even upgraded AI behavior and improved world generation.

The game will be available in February, 2017 for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Right now you can get LEGO Worlds for only $14.99 from the Steam store while it’s in Early Access. However, once the game launches in full the price will go up, so keep that in mind.
