Capcom Details Resident Evil 7 Season Pass

I’m always leery when it comes to DLC and other add-on features for games, because most try scamming gamers in the end for an extra buck instead of bringing additional content. We oftentimes get things that should have been in the game from the start. Already Capcom raised some alarms among gamers with the latest details regarding Resident Evil 7‘s season pass.

If you don’t know, which I’m sure you do, the next installment in the Resident Evil series is the seventh canonically sequential entry, which also goes by the name of Biohazard, and will be for PC, PS4 and Xbox One come January 24th.

New information regarding the first-person version of Resident Evil has popped up regarding its season pass from Capcom. This information can be found by hitting up the season pass’ new Steam Page that details what folks can expect DLC wise, as seen below.

“Purchase the Resident Evil 7 biohazard Season Pass and get access to the following additional content as it is made available. All Season Pass content will be available by December 31, 2017.”

Here’s the “following additional content” in the Season Pass:

Banned Footage Vol. 1

  • Nightmare
  • Bedroom
  • Ethan Must Die

Banned Footage Vol. 2

  • 21
  • Daughters
  • Jack’s 55th Birthday

Additional Story Episode

The “Additional Story Episode” part currently have gamers concerned that the additional story could block off the true ending done in other Capcom games, which would essentially have actual story content hidden behind DLC. This got gamers comparing the announcement to stuff like Asura’s Wrath and Dead Rising 4 DLC endings.

Although it’s not official that the true ending of Resident Evil 7 will be locked behind DLC, we do know, however, that the season pass will call for folks to cough up $29.99 with a deluxe bundle containing both the game and the season pass for $89.98.

All in all, there will be three different DLCs that will release throughout this year for Resident Evil 7, and all three will drop and be available to purchase/play sometime before the end of this year. With that said the game is slated to launch on January 24th for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
