This is not F-Zero, and although I know a lot of people would enjoy seeing another F-Zero game, instead folks will get Fast RMX by Shin'en Multimedia, which will be for the Nintendo Switch. The racing game was announced during the Nintendo Switch 2017 Presentation and currently has no release date as of this moment.
According to some of the comments this game received across various comment sections, a lot of people wanted a new F-Zero game and seem quite disappointed in Shin'en Multimedia's Fast RMX. However there is no video of the game but just screenshots, so at this point we'll have to wait and see how gameplay pans out when a video trailer rolls around.
In the meantime, before jumping into the features and screenshots, the official description sits below.
"Race through a futuristic sci-fi world at incredible speeds in Fast RMX. Jump into the driver’s seat of your anti-gravity vehicle and put your skills to the test in high octane competitions. Challenge your friends to local split-screen competitions or take part in online races against players from all around the world."
When taking up the driver's role in Fast RMX folks can expect to race at "lightning-fast arcade" speeds in a selection of anti-gravity vehicles. While racing at fast speeds, racing with other AIs across different modes will be present along with 4-player and multiplayer support.
Fast RMX also has a mode called "Hero Mode" for players to unlock that changes up the rules and adds new challenges to the mix, which I assume is for players looking to change things up when the going gets a little stale.
To be honest here, I'm not sure how this game will turn out when it releases, but if you are looking for a fast paced F-Zero-like game, Fast RMX might provide the same adrenaline rush as said game. But while we wait for the devs to announce a release date and trailer, you can check out some screenshots for the game.
