GWENT Update Will Bring New Cards And Nilfgaard

CD Projekt Red has posted up a new trailer for the Witcher card game GWENT. The video covers around in 60 seconds or one minute and showcases a variety of cards and an upcoming new playable faction, Nilfgaard. GWENT is currently available to play through a Closed Beta session for PC and Xbox One.

In a recent update post that CD Projekt Red published over on GWENT‘s main site we learn that the card game will be introducing a new playable faction within the realm of the Witcher, which stands as Nilfgaard.

According to the post, part of the major content update for the game introduces a playstyle focused on maintaining control over the battlefield. The faction equips players with a new and fresh set of mechanics like revealing cards in the opponent’s hand, controlling the order of cards in player decks, and trickery based on the use of unloyal units.

The devs also detail some of the new content in the post that includes expanding the number of cards over 60, as noted below.

“The update expands the number of cards available in the game by over 60 — new additions also include faction-specific cards for Northern Realms, Scoia’tael, Skellige and Monsters, as well as neutral cards usable by every faction.”

If that sounds like something worth checking out you can watch a trailer that the devs released over on GWENT‘s channel, which is currently up for you to watch.

If you are curious as to when the update introducing Nilfgaard will drop, the devs noted that it is expected to release in the near future starting on February 6th, 2017.

Lastly, folks looking to join in and play the game, which is currently in its Closed Beta stage, can do so by participating in the Beta and register on the official website to play GWENT.
