Sky Knights, Online Arcade Flight Shooter Launches Open Alpha
(Last Updated On: January 10, 2017)

Developer Hampus Bankler (or just Bankler for short), has created a new online arcade flight shooter titled, Sky Knights, which pits players against each other in 4-Vs-4 deathmatch dogfights.

Sky Knights is a fast paced, top-down, arcade shooter, that pits two teams of players against one another in a deathmatch arena.

The setting takes place in modern day times, giving you six different aircrafts to fly and customize, with 15 different aircraft upgrades. You will also be able to choose from about six different weapons, ranging from machine guns to heat-seeking missiles and even air-to-ground missiles. The developer also says that you can unlock six special traits for your character to help further customize your playstyle. Can’t find a game with other players to play online? No problem!

Sky Knights also features the ability to turn on bots so that you can always find a game to play, even when other players aren’t online.

There are also a few other cool features, such as ground forces fighting and pushing forward to take territory, and AA guns defending their FOB. I’m not exactly sure how game modes work, but it sounds like both teams have three forward operating bases, and it is your job to locate and destroy them while also defending your own bases.

However, you will also earn credits for killing the other enemy planes to score you some extra money, which you can then use to buy some new upgrades for your plane. The developer released a gameplay teaser trailer, so check out the video that I linked down below.

Sky Knights is still in its early development phase, so there is no official launch date just yet, but you can head on over to their Steam Greenlight page to cast your vote if you would like to see this game come to Steam.

Furthermore, they have also launched an Open Alpha build that you can download and play for free. All you have to do is go to their official website, apply for your Alpha key, wait for it to send, then download and play the game.
