Square Enix Reveals Arcade Game Million Arthur: Arcana Blood
(Last Updated On: January 29, 2017)

If you are into the mobile game Million Arthur, a franchise on smartphones, you’ll likely fancy that Square Enix will be making an arcade version over in Japan named Million Arthur: Arcana Blood. The fighting game was announced during this year’s Omatsuri-Sei Million Arthur event and is set to launch later this year.

As of this moment there’s no word on a PS Vita or PS4 release, which I see a lot of people requesting. Sadly, and while we wait for more information to roll out, the game is only available in Japan via arcades this fall.

I won’t say that this game is overly fast or slow-paced from the gameplay footage revealed at the event, but I will say that if you are heavy into fighting games and love to battle it out with friends or AI in a stylized fashion, I think that Square Enix’s Million Arthur: Arcana Blood is something to keep an eye on.

Thanks to Famitsu, screenshots showing the game are up for you to look over. There are more than 10 screenshots that show character entries, in-game sessions and more.

I’m sure you are wondering who are the confirmed playable characters as of this moment? Well, Arthur the Blade Protector (VA: Mamoru Miyano), Lai Arthur the Quick Sword-Draw Arthur (VA: Sumire Uesaka), Nitou Arthur the Dual Sword Arthur (VA: Arthur Lounsbery), Touzoku Arthur the Thief Arthur (VA: Ayane Sakura), and Zex Siegfried (Yuki Kaji).

According to the news reported by Famitsu, there will be a system geared toward supporting characters in the form of cards. This assist system will likely help a player out when the going gets tough during a battle.

Folks looking to play Million Arthur: Blood Arcana will be able to do so at the Taito booth at the Japan Amusement Expo 2017 event starting from February 10th to February 12th. Before signing out I’ll leave you with some gameplay footage by Alvan Aditya, who shows Million Arthur: Blood Arcana in action.

Doesn’t look great to me. I’m very fussy about visual quality in fighters, and by that I mean animation, gravity/weight and feel. Not filling the screen with blinding effects. I especially hate those tiny jumps that recent fighters use.
