RPG Maker Fes Coming West To 3DS Sometime This Summer

If creating your own game sounds like fun and using your Nintendo 3DS to do just that seems even cooler, then you will be glad to hear that RPG Maker Fes is coming West sometime this Summer. The game allows you to make your own games with pre-made assets and other ready-to-use content.

Depending on your views regarding creation tools and the platforms they are on will depend on what you may fancy. If you are not into 3D assets and working with complex code, but instead enjoy working with sprites and pre-made assets I think that RPG Maker for the 3DS will be something worth keeping an eye on.

Speaking of RPG Maker, recently NIS America announced that Kadokawa Games’ latest project will be coming Westward this year. Sadly no actual release date was mentioned during the announcement, but it is planned to release this Summer for RPG fans and gamers alike to create their own games.

Additional information regarding the RPG creator, or RPG Maker, sits below for curious fans to read over.

“Ready to become a game developer? RPG Maker Fes makes it easy to develop any RPG you can imagine with no need for programming knowhow. Simple, but powerful tools let you bring to life the amazing stories in your head. Customize the characters, stories, combat and more to become the next great developer. Then, share your creations and play others with the free RPG Maker Player. What story will you share?”

Although to make the game it took the developers behind RPG Maker to program stuff from scratch so that they could make a game about creating games for people around to make games, but jokes aside, I do think that it is a good tool for those who are just starting off and like to make sprite-based RPG content.

Showing the game and some of its basic functions, NIS America revealed a new trailer for gamers to look over that displays RPG Maker.

A free RPG Maker app will release via the Nintendo eShop that will allow folks to browse and download the creations of other users. This now brings us to the last part in that the game will debut with a physical and digital release, which the game itself is set to launch this Summer for the Nintendo 3DS.
