Street Fighter 5 Mod Sees Chun-Li Turned Into April O’Neil From TMNT
(Last Updated On: February 24, 2017)

Capcom may have managed to stumble and trip with the release of Street Fighter V worse than Jennifer Lawrence’s back-to-back Oscar trips, but modders have managed to recover the fighting game… on PC at the least.

Modders have been working around the clock to do things like restore R. Mika’s original butt-slap and her finishing move. They’ve also been tweaking and modifying various characters, including giving many of the roster completely different outfits.

BrutalAce recently released the April O’Neil mod for Chun-Li. It gives the Chinese fighter an American makeover, turning her into the auburn-haired news reporter from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles…. and not the crappy Megan Fox edition.

You can actually download the mod right now from over on the DeviantArt page.

Youtuber BlitzMightyN7 also put together a quick compilation to give gamers a video preview of what the April O’Neil mod looks like running in Street Fighter V. Check it out below.

According to BrutalAce, a Patreon member requested him to make the mod, and offered a lot of help and support in getting the mod made.

The mod offers two different hairstyles, including one where Chun-Li has her hair down and the other that’s done up in a ponytail. She also gets two different hair colors, one based on April’s auburn look and the other is Chun-Li’s default dark brown shade.

BrutalAce took time to add 4K textures for high-resolution image quality, as well as designing equally high-quality meshes with a pop-out collar, pockets, belt loop and shoe straps to give the outfit the same level of authenticity that many fans of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have come to expect from the April O’Neil they grew up loving.

Additionally, BrutalAce made it known that the mod is compatible with Street Fighter V’s season 2 update, so you shouldn’t have any problems running the mod on the latest version of the game.
