Ghost In The Shell Movie Preview Shows First 5 Minutes

The new Ghost In The Shell movie, starring Scarlett Johansson, is scheduled to release at the end of this month on March 31st, 2017. But for those of you that don’t mind a few spoilers, a new preview trailer gives us a sneak peek at some of the action.

YouTube channel FilmSelect Trailer uploaded the video that starts with Scarlett Johansson introducing herself and setting the trailer up to explain that she stars as The Major, the lead protagonist from the Ghost In The Shell franchise.  The new trailer is five minutes long and gives us a pretty good look at the live action version of Ghost In The Shell, so take a look at the video I linked down below.

The above trailer showcases the iconic scene from the anime where the major removes her clothing and jumps off from the top of the building’s roof, then proceeds to show her break through the glass window and kill the enemy terrorists inside. There were a few changes for the live action adaptation, but, I’m not even mad about it.

I personally think the live action movie looks amazing based on what I’ve seen so far. The special effects, the environment, and the action look superb, and I’m starting to think that the Ghost In The shell movie can actually deliver on what they’ve promised so far. Perhaps I am more-so impressed by the movie because when it was first announced I thought to myself “Oh, God why?” and then they announced Scarlett Johansson as the lead and I proceeded to think “This movie is going to suck. Why does Hollywood hate making good movies?!?!”

But now, the more I see of the movie, the more I like it, and based on the comments and the likes for majority of the movie trailers that have been released this far, it looks like more and more people are getting on board the hype train. The story and main philosophy from the anime appears to be intact, Johansson’s acting fit the scene for the above trailer, and the pacing was on point. Now we just have to wait and see if the finished product will deliver.

Overall, I think that was an amazing five-minute preview. So what do you think? Comment below and share your thoughts.
