Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Gains New Trailer Detailing Modes And Characters

If you like Mario Kart games and enjoy what Nintendo is doing with the Nintendo Switch, you will be in for a treat after watching the latest trailer for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. The game is scheduled to debut worldwide for the Nintendo Switch on April 28th.

Changing things up in the Super Mario series during the early 1990’s came a go-kart game entitled Super Mario Kart that hit the SNES. The game quickly garnered people’s attention that soon turned into success, and would later jump into the age of 3D — becoming what it is today.

If you are looking to jump into the upcoming game and enjoy what it has to offer, Nintendo has a video for you to look over before purchasing the racing title. The video covers quite a bit of content and features nestled in the game that includes modes, stages and characters.

Looking over to features in the game, there will be over 40 characters, 48 tracks to race on and online/multiplayer support.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will feature the mode Renegade Roundup, this new mode has two teams trying to battle each other in a cops and robbers-like setting. One team tries to escape and break their friends out of jail, while the other team must capture all of their counterparts.

Balloon Battle will also make a return, which there isn’t much to explain if you’ve been playing the series for a while now. But, if you are new the mode sees folks trying to blow each and every player set of balloons on the back of their kart by using special pickups and other forceful methods.

Bob-omb Blast mode was first seen in Mario Kart: Double Dash, where players throw a barrage of bob-ombs at opponents until there is a victor.

The upcoming game will also feature the Mario Kart Wii mode, Coin Runner. Players are tasked to try and collect as many coins as possible in the fast and frenetic mode.

The last mode featured in the trailer comes the mode Shine Thief. Players must hold onto the Shine Sprite for a 20 count like in the classic multiplayer Battle mode.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is set to come out for the Nintendo Switch on April 28th. You can watch the new trailer that Nintendo posted up, which sits below.
