Star Wars Battlefront 2 And Other EA Games Will Be Playable At EA Play
(Last Updated On: March 23, 2017)

Starting this year in June comes an event that allows players from all around to visit one location, and go hands-on and play the latest EA titles in Hollywood. If you happen to be a big fan of EA games and DICE’s take on the Star Wars Battlefront series, then you will be able to participate come June 10-12th.

At EA Play it is said that players will be able to get a nice taste of games way before they are released to the public to consume, and if you are the type that enjoys EA games and so on, then you will more than likely find this event that will drop on June 10th, and will end on June 12th, to be very exciting.

This information comes from ea.com and is further elaborated on by an anonymous writer, in which an excerpt of the blog post reads:

“So let’s get to it. From June 10 – 12, players joining us in Hollywood will get hands on with the next Star Wars™ Battlefront and Need for Speed™ experiences. You’ll also get your first chance to play a many of our upcoming EA SPORTS™ titles: Madden NFL 18, FIFA 18 and NBA LIVE 18. This isn’t all, by the way…and we’ll have more to share in the coming months.”

That’s right, other titles will make an appearance there too. But the reason why an emphasis is put on Star Wars Battlefront 2 is that I’m a really big fan of Star Wars stuff, and I really do want to see an epic, full-scale war raging in the playable universe of Star Wars. I could be wrong that EA and DICE will screw the second version up, but I really would love to see an epic playable game of Star Wars done right with today’s tech.

Anyways, the blog goes on about how folks looking to participate will be able to meet up at the event and join.

“If you are planning to make your way to Hollywood, circle April 20, 2017 at 9:00 am PST on your calendar. We will be opening up tickets to the public at that time, and we’ll be providing more details in the coming weeks on how the ticketing process will work.”

Although I’m more interested in Star Wars Battlefront 2 and how it will look gameplay wise, those who are interested in the other listed titles and event will be able find out more by hitting up ea.com.

The little I played during the beta was disastrous. Too arcade-y with its focus on pick-up tokens and ability cards, and an awful spawning system. The devs really just don’t get how the originals were so popular, even with the limitations at the time.

It’s even more absurd when you remember that Pandemic’s Battlefront was basically a smaller scale clone of Battlefield 1942.
