Ashes of the Singularity - Inception DLC

Stardock Entertainment’s Ashes of the Singularity received its newest DLC expansion pack, Inception, recently. The new content is available for PC gamers to experience right now for the low, low price of only $2.99.

You will need a full copy of the original version of the real-time strategy game, which is available on the Steam store or the Stardock store for $39.99.

The new content gives gamers an all new scenario to play through for both factions in the game, the PHC and the Substrate. As mentioned in the press release by Derek Paxton, the vice president of the company…

“This time, the player gets to choose which faction to play as. The dialogue, direction, and results of the scenario are different depending on whether they’re the PHC or the Substrate. To get the full story, you’ll need to play through once as each.”

The player is dumped onto the planet Oneiros where some force is taking over everybody on the planet. The mysterious entity is called Nihilon and it makes both the PHC and the Substrate about as wonky as a “woke” SJW on a Vicodin and latte-trip while power-sperging on Twitter.

The DLC isn’t just campaign driven for the PHC and Substrate – both factions get wildly different story campaigns as well – it’s also multiplayer driven. You’ll have four brand new maps to battle across, including Oneiros, Bayern, Brasil and Polska. The maps range from three-player maps up to 10-player maps, so there’s a little bit of something in there for everyone.

Each of the maps also are designed to cater to different multiplayer needs, including free-for-alls, comp stomps, team deathmatch and more.

The game is running on the new Nitrous 64-bit game engine from Oxide Games, so you get some spectacular, large-scale battles. You can pick up the new Inception DLC right now or buy a copy of Ashes of the Singularity from participating e-tailers.
