Echo, Sci-Fi Third-Person Game Is Now Playable At Nordic Game 2017

Echo started on Steam Greenlight and has since passed the voting segment. The sci-fi action-puzzle game does not have an official Steam page yet, but the indie project is coming together quite well in that Ultra-Ultra (the developer) has a playable build of said PC game available at Nordic Game 2017.

Starting from May 17th until May 19th, folks will be able to play Ultra-Ultra’s Echo at Nordic Game 2017. Although gameplay footage and a release was set to come out this Spring, the devs delayed the sci-fi action-puzzle game to polish it up for better quality. As of now, though, you can play an early build of Echo by stopping by the devs’ Unreal booth.

So far the game was received quite well as of today and even prompted the devs to send this tweet out:

If you have no clue as to what Echo is shaping up to be, the third-person game explores sci-fi shooting elements, a cover system that links into vaulting around nearby objects, and mixes puzzle solving in peculiar manners. The official description explaining Echo’s premise sits below.

“After a century in stasis the girl En arrives at her destination: A Palace out of legend, a marvel of the old civilization eons gone, still awaiting its first human occupants. Out here, using forgotten technologies, she hopes to bring back a life that shouldn’t have been lost. But nothing could have prepared her for what she’ll face in the ancient halls below.”

Furthermore, you can see actual gameplay of Echo in action — however, I should note that the trailer does not reflect the 2017 build of the game. The original trailer featured on Steam Greenlight holds some unpolished animations here and there, but nonetheless the game looks pretty decent to be made by a handful of indie devs. With that said the gameplay trailer is up for you to look over.
