Dragon Quest XI Live Stream Showcases 3DS And PS4 Gameplay

More gameplay footage of Square Enix’s Dragon Quest XI: In Search of Departed Time has surfaced through a hands-on live stream event at Sapporo. The “Countdown Carnival” gameplay showcases the Labyrinth Beyond Time on 3DS, and the Ominous Bird’s Ravine on PS4.

If you don’t know, Dragon Quest XI: In Search of Departed Time is an upcoming game in the DQ series set to release for PS4 and 3DS on July 29th in Japan. Both the Western and Switch versions of the RPG have no release date as of this moment.

Furthermore, looking over to the most recent news regarding DQXI, thanks to publication site Gematsu, Square Enix has released a new video of said RPG at Countdown Carnival, accompanied by a hands-on gameplay event in Sapporo.

The video or live stream also reveals the fourth restriction for the game’s Restricted Play mode. The first three are noted to stop a player from shopping, running from battles, and being unable to equip any type of armor. The fourth restriction apart of the Restricted Play mode is called the “ashamed curse”, which makes it so that you are unable to speak properly to people in town, prompting awkward things to happen in battle that randomly hamper your battle performance.

If the above sounds like something that’s interesting, the one hour and 20 minute long video showing a significant amount of gameplay, containing both the 3DS and PS4 versions of the RPG, then you can watch the live stream video by Square Enix below.
