You’ll need to examine all the clues whenever you get an opportunity, including Hannah’s tattoo. This is labeled as “The Twins” clue. Josh needs to recognize the tattoo in order to survive.
To save Jessica, you’ll need to get to her as quickly as possible with Mike, this means jumping over the hole and sliding down the mountain as fast as possible.
For Matt, Nukem Dukem showcases how to keep him alive, just follow the exact same patterns he used. Powerpyx mentions that Sam and Mike can’t die until end so whatever decisions you make with them are usually fairly safe.
