Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth3 Nude Mod Arrives A Day After Release

Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth3 V Generation recently released on PC from Idea Factory on October 30th. The PS Vita port has received generally favorable reviews from gamers and many fans of the series love it on PC. Well you know what people also love about PC games? Mods. And you know something else they love about modding on PC? Nude mods.

Over on the NSFW section of Undertow, member Password released a mod containing two files that clocks in at close to 30MB that nudifies the characters in the game… from top to bottom. The nude mod went live literally just one day after the game became available on Steam.

According to Password, he states…

“nr1_packer It’s used. Clothes change with doing the work by which a file is rewritten. It’s very convenient because such work can be done by an individual again.”

The user joined just at the beginning of October. However he used the Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 nude mod methodology to apply the patch to Idea Factory’s Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth3 V Generation. The file structure stayed largely the same as well as the encryption, so it was just a matter of updating the content for the characters in the latest game.

It’s funny because Idea Factory didn’t bother changing encryption techniques to prevent modding of their game. It was thwarted and nude-modded in just under a day. Konami was so terrified about nude mods for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain they instituted a series of encryption tactics and file rearrangement calls for the textures and meshes so as to throw off modders from making nude mods and mesh mods. Nevertheless, modders still managed to break through Konami’s defenses, it only took them a month and a half to do so.

There’s one rule that game designers need to recognize when releasing games on PC: you know it’s a modder’s duty to expose that booty.

If you want to grab the mod for Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth3 V Generation you can download it from over on Undertow. Obviously it’s not safe for work.
