Tales Of Berseria’s Latest Trailer Highlights Anime Cinematics

A new trailer for Bandai Namco’s Tales of Berseria has gone live, featuring some new gameplay footage, anime cinematics and in-engine cinematics.

The trailer was spotted by Gaming Conviction, and it was posted up by the V-Jump YouTube channel. The trailer is only a minute long even, but it’s jam packed with a whole lot of action, combat and budding rivalries. You can check it out below.

Unfortunately they have the comments turned off on their channel so there’s no way to know what the feedback is like from the community or whether or not gamers like or hate certain parts of it, but judging from the Like/Dislike bar, it appears as if they generally like the latest trailer from Bandai Namco.

The trailer highlights the newly introduced Magileux character and we get to see some of the battle sequences between the pirate Velvet Crowe and her fight against those who hunt monsters.

If the game doesn’t skimp out on the complexity of its story it could make for some interesting encounters, as Velvet doesn’t quite fit on the scale of being a true “good guy” but it’s not like she’s hunting down “good guys” either. The shades of gray in the story could open up some cool possibilities so long as they don’t try to shoehorn everything into a “good guy” and “bad guy” box.

Anyway, the combat in the game is not actually showcased in full in the trailer above, they limit everything to cinematics and anime battles. According to the V-Jump channel they have plans on unveiling more content for Tales of Berseria on March 19th, so we can expect to see more of the game at some point later in the week.

Tales of Berseria comes off the hotly debated Tales of Zestiria, which had a lot of fans divided on how certain characters were depicted.

Nevertheless, you can look for Tales of Berseria to launch sometime later this year for the PS3, PS4 and PC in Japan and sometime further down the road for the West.
