Dark Souls 3 GamePlay Walkthrough

From Software’s Dark Souls III is ravaging the hearts, minds and thumb sticks of gamers the world around. The title is unforgiving, mysterious, challenging and difficult for a lot of players. To help guide gamers through the harsh land of Lothric’s dark souls, there are some walkthrough guides available.

YouTuber Shirrako offers a comprehensive, 64 video walkthrough that covers all of the game’s ins and outs from start to finish, as well as a brief look at the New Game+. You can check out the complete gameplay walkthrough below.

Shirrako starts by creating a character and then proceeding to mop the floor with the Iudex Gundyr boss. He proceeds through the High Wall of Lothric to obtain the cell key to the prison. He proceeds through the boss, Vordt of the Boreal Valley. He moves through the Undead Settlement and to the Curse Rotted Greatwood boss before attacking the consumed along the Road of Sacrifices.

From there he proceeds through the Chapel after defeating the Crystal Sages boss. He happens upon Farron Keep before downing a demon and taking out the Abyss Watchers.

From there, he moves on toward High Lord Wolnir and then takes out the Deacons of the Deep after traveling through the Cathedral. Venturing further through Boreal Valley, he then takes on Pontiff Sulyvahn preceding his decent into Irithyll Dungeon. From there he manages to go head-to-head against Yhorm The Giant – though you will find it a lot easier to take down the boss with the Storm Ruler – and then proceeds to deal with the Aldritch boss, followed by the Dance of the Boreal Valley.

Eventually he makes his way through the caves to the Fire Demon before dealing with the Siegward of Catarina and the inescapable Old Demon King.

After venturing further through the caves, he happens upon the Underground Labyrinth that eventually leads to the ruins where Oceiros, The Consumed, is located. Afterward he makes his way to the Dragonslayer after heading to the Archdragon Peak. It’s onward to the Grand Achives followed by the brothers duo… Lothric the younger and Lothric the elder.

The Untended Graves is next – although if you do it properly, you should be able to get to the Untended Graves through the secret passageway after defeating Oceiros. Following the graves, there will be Gundyr… this time, it’s Champion Gundyr.

If you make it to the Archdragon Peak you’ll face off against the Nameless King boss at the top of the bailey following a lot of dodging and weaving of the Ancient Wyvern. From there you’ll face off agains the Lord of Cinder on a battlefield that will determine who rules over the dark souls.

While Shirrako by far has one of the best walkthroughs available, it’s from the Japanese version. If you want to see a similar walkthrough but with English text, MKIceAndFire offer up a 29 part walkthrough covering the game from start to finish. You can check it out below.

Additionally, there are some guides and videos covering how to acquire some of the more rare armor sets in the game, such as the Morne’s armor set, or the Eygon of Carims armor and weapon set.

The rare weapons require a bit of a process to acquire. Cog Incorparated offers a video guide covering how you can get the Eygon of Carims set, which you can check out below.

Alternatively, GamerrZombie offers a 14 minutes walkthrough video on how to get the Mornes armor set and the Mornes great hammer. The hammer, by the way, is beastly looking.

You can check out the walkthrough video below offering a step-by-step process on how to acquire the Mornes gear.

And finally, if you’re curious what all the currently uncovered weapon sets and armor types look like in Dark Souls III, you can check out the various videos put together to showcase each of the major armor sets that have been discovered in the game so far. It’s a little like a fashion show for the dangerous, Gothically-inclined adventurers of the afterlife.
