Here’s How To Farm Rare Items Quickly In Dark Souls 3

This might be a really long guide, but it will ensure drops of any kind of rare items in From Software’s latest brutal game — Dark Souls III. Something worth noting, this method doesn’t call for any glitches, meaning you can do this method with any rare item you are after across PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

Giving credit where it’s due, YouTuber Spainkiller made a beautiful guide showing how to get rare items in his video. The video is short, but holds a lot of rich information that will help you get any hard to find item in the game.

Additionally, RNG will be involved, but as living proof the video shows him getting two Proofs of a Concord Kept within one minute, which isn’t bad. Before jumping into the long winded way on how to get your drop rate from 1%, or whatever it is currently at, to 4.1%, you can watch Spainkiller‘s video below.

First things first, get the Gold Covetous Serpent Ring +2. This will provide an added 100 points to your item discovery which you will need to be in NG++ or even higher. If you don’t know where to find it, defeat the Nameless King and you will see the ring in that area with him.

Second, you will need the Crystal Sage Rapier that will give you 50 more points on item discovery when using it. If you don’t have this weapon, you will need to venture and transpose the Soul of a Crystal Mage. This will be at the Ludleth in Firelink Shrine.

The third step in building up your drop rate and item finding is to have the Symbol of Avarice, which adds another 100 points to your item discovery. You can find this upon defeating any Kaiser or Mimics throughout the game. This will be a little hard to find if the RNG is acting up. To increase the chances of finding it, go to the Dragonslayer Armor arena and head left. After dropping down through a broken wall, you should see the Symbol of the Avarice.

The fourth step is to stock up on Rusted Coins. These trusty rusted coins will add an additional 50 points to your item discovery. You can find them from Patches, which is triggered by using the Tower Key that is worth 20,000 souls.

Spainkiller noted that he only had his Luck at 0 points, which he notes is “not worth the effort.” This can be compensated with the items noted above. Instead, he suggests that you should put your points in offensive stats so that you can cheese through enemies that pose to be a threat to your endeavors — although skill plays just as much as a significant role in battling enemies.

To sum this all up, you should have an item discovery of 410 points respectfully. If we were to look at that in a percentage spectrum it would equal out to be 4.1%.

Lastly, you will still find that RNG is still active throughout all of this, so you might have to make a few more rounds in farming to get that specific item that you are after, however there is a far greater chance of finding rare stuff even quicker as seen above. If you want to start your brutal adventure now, Dark Souls III is currently available for PS4, PC and Xbox One.
