P.A.M.E.L.A. Steam Page Goes Live In Preparation For Early Access

NVYVE Studios recently announced that the Steam page for their sci-fi, first-person action-adventure game, P.A.M.E.L.A., has gone live. The Steam page reveals that the futuristic title will first enter into Early Access before fully launching thereafter.

According to the Steam page, once P.A.M.E.L.A. lands on Early Access, NVYVE plans to spend about six through nine months in Early Access, refining the game and improving it before officially releasing.

While some gamers are not at all fond of Early Access, we’ve seen with some recent releases that Early Access is imperative for ensuring that the game runs properly before a full release. Titles like Slain! and FleetCOMM now have to struggle back up the mountain to gain some semblance of respect from the community because they launched before they were fully locked and loaded.

In the case of P.A.M.E.L.A., the Steam post states that many of the core elements will be in place when the game does land on Steam Early Access, and that will include looting items, constructing safe havens, upgrading the character and equipment, as well as engaging in the combat system against hostile citizens, which includes melee weapons, dodging, ducking and projectile based weapons.

The game features players taking on the role of an individual who wakes up in a mysterious city that is being overrun with psychotic and hostile citizens. Players will have to both find out what happened and battle their way through the discovery of what really went down.

When it was first announced and made its way to Steam Greenlight, there was a lot of chatter about P.A.M.E.L.A. The developers later took the game to GDC to give attendees on hand a first-hand glimpse at the title. Gamers who didn’t attend the event were given some pre-alpha gameplay footage to soak in — you can check that out below.

The system requirements for the game were also revealed, with a minimum of 2.8ghz and 4GB of RAM being the basic requirements necessary to boot the game. A GTX 550Ti is what you’ll need on the GPU front to render the game.
