The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Blood And Wine DLC Download Available

CD Projekt Red announced that the final major expansion pack for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is now available for download on the Xbox One, PS4 and PC. The Blood and Wine DLC is priced at $19.99 and is hailed as being big enough to be its own game.

CD Projekt Red has been touting that this new and last DLC for The Witcher 3 features enough content to be a full release. Players will once again don the role of Geralt of Rivia, traveling to the unravaged lands of Toussaint.

There’s a gorgeous trailer that offers gamers a thorough look at some of the places they can visit and locales they can interact with in the Blood and Wine DLC. Check it out below.

The game will see Geralt attempting to solve the mystery of the strange killings happening within the Toussaint region. There’s a deep secret residing in the underbelly of the capital, Beauclair. It’s up to players to fight, fraternize and f– ehh, romance their way to victory in the foreign land.

A brand new land with brand new quests is only as good as the new items, weapons and monsters to interact with. Hence, CD Projekt has pumped up the DLC with more than 20 hours worth of content, with all new armor sets, armor colors and a new dye mechanic so players can outfit their attire with the look they want.

They also implemented an new set of cards with a Skellige deck for the mini-game Gwent. It seemed to be strangely popular amongst gamers in the original release of The Witcher 3.

I like that CD Projekt Red puts so much time, effort and energy into The Witcher‘s DLC to make it as buy-worthy as possible. A lot of companies out there throw out season passes and DLC packs with maybe two or three maps, a couple of skins and five minutes worth of single-player content. CD Projekt Red makes their DLC longer than most AAA game releases.

Anyway, you can download the Blood and Wine expansion pack right now for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on PC, PS4 or Xbox One for only $19.99. This is the final major expansion for the game, so enjoy it because this is the last we’ll be seeing of Geralt for some time.

Now hopefully CD Projekt can get back to work on Cyberpunk 2077…. because I can’t wait to see more of that game.
