Beyond Flesh And Blood, Mech-Adventure Game Enters Early Access

Pixelbomb Games’ Unreal Engine 4-powered third-person, shoot-and-crush, mech-adventure game called Beyond Flesh and Blood has just entered into Steam Early Access. It’s available right now ahead of its full release on home consoles and PC, which is set for a 2017 window.

The third-person action-adventure game will see players taking on the role of exploring a dystopian England within the 23rd century. Mechs, robots and dangerous survivors litter the streets, and players will have to battle through the enemies to discover what really went down.

The game prides itself on its blood, gore and gib. Gamers are able to rip bodies to pieces (literally) in Beyond Flesh and Blood playing as a variety of different mechanized robots at the control of an engineer named Ethan. You can see what the game looks like in action with the trailer below.

One of the unique selling points of this third-person action title is that it affords players to engage in mech-in-mech action. It’s possible to take a smaller Tactical Frame and then hop inside of another larger frame and pilot it.

They also have mech-hijacking in the game, where players can commandeer a rig from the enemy and use it against them. This definitely adds another tactical layer to the game as players have to think about whether or not they want to stick with the mech they have, or blast some bodies to gib and attempt to steal another mech.

In Early Access format the game features seven playable levels and there will be 13 levels in total for the first episode. The team will slowly work on and build up the levels leading up to the full release. They’ll be taking feedback and suggestions while Beyond Flesh and Blood is in Early Access, refining the game and improving on it throughout the development process.

Pixelbomb’s title will exit Early Access between six and 12 month’s time. So it’ll be there for a while. You can learn more by either checking out the Steam store page or by visiting the official website.
