Build A Game Universe Lets Players Create Their Very Own Game

Do you enjoy making your very own games, or creating random stuff? If either or fits your case, a new game by Walker Boys Studio puts the power of creation in your hands with Build A Game Universe. This editor lets players create 2D, 8-direction, platforming and other types of games in a game maker similar to Super Mario Maker. The game is set to hit Steam Early Access for PC during July.

Anything that comes to mind can be created in Build A Game Universe, which offers a grid system that offers a plethora of tools at one’s disposal. Changing the shape and size of an object is just a mere click away that can alter your stage/map the way you want.

“Build a Game Universe is your spot to build, play, share and sell your 2D games and game content. Whether you are an experienced developer or just getting started, our intuitively designed tools create a fun and exciting environment to bring your imagination to life!”

To be honest, I like games like this because they offer players some insight on creating a game, but also provide a simple side so that they don’t always have to deal with scripts and coding to make things function on the spot. I should also point out that other simple games that are a hit like Angry Birds, Flappy Birds and other familiar games alike can be made in this editor, too.

In addition, platformers like Super Mario World could be made in this game, or something a lot more complex that is driven by accessing certain items/objects to progress onward.

To get a better picture of Build A Game Universe you can watch its  official trailer, which runs for two minutes showing off everything you can do.

Walker Boys Studio’s Build A Game Universe is set to release during July and will hit Steam Early Access. Those who also want to save some cash will also be able to do so since the game will be free to play. For more information, you can head on over to Steam or buildagameuniverse.com.
