It’s a shame that modders have to fix the half-baked content that Bethesda throws out, but nevertheless, modders do it. This time around, modders Kentington, Mangadub and Mika999 brought forth three mods that add more life to the wasteland of Fallout 4, while fixing some of the things that should have been in the game from the start.
It’s no surprise that the wasteland Contraption Workshop DLC is shallow at its best, and that there are mods in existence that can provide the same amount of fun — if not more. However, aiming to fix the DLC, Kentington got to work and wrote up the note below:
“The manufacturing mechanics introduced in Contraptions Workshop are frankly underwhelming; they require too much manual intervention and tend to be incomplete (ammo types) or annoyingly random (armor manufacturing). This mod aims to fix that.”
This mod adds even more contraptions, while fixing some of the other components in the DLC. You can get this mod by heading over to Nexusmods.
The next mod up is by Mangadub and includes over 150 different effects. There’s now over 70 new weather patterns, 110 new clouds, 15 more cloud meshes, new rain sounds, 17 more thunders sounds, enhanced volumetric fogs for rain or foggy weather and more. This mod overhauls a lot of the weather, lighting and how days transition into nights.
The last mod by Mika999 makes it where The Third Rail is more immersive than before. This mod makes the surrounding area more active with “many new details” that are said to improve the overall experience…
“Everyone who has actually played the game knows that in the Third Rail are few boring people sitting around doing absolutely nothing. I have set out to fix that.”
“This mod adds more authentic NPCs and many new details to improve overall pub atmosphere and immersive gaming experience.”
Not that this mod does anything significant it does, however, stand to make the actual experience in The Third Rail much more alive, if that’s what your looking for.
