Life Is Feudal: Forest Village Game Seeks Votes On Steam Greenlight

Small indie devs Mindillusion seeks to get their game Life is Feudal: Forest Village through Steam Greenlight. The game follows suit under the building/farming simulation genre that has been all the rage as of late.

If you are really into simulators and building up civilizations like in Banished, then you will enjoy this game. Although the game has nothing really new to offer in the strategy simulation field, it is impressive that a small indie team took to Greenlight in hope to get a well polished game through, unlike some devs who enjoying putting toilet simulators on there.

Life Is Feudal basically challenges players to terraform the land and build houses, pastures, orchards, windmills, farms and other types of buildings to help their civilization survive the test of time.

Other mechanics like searching, cooking, growing domestic crops, and raising animals for food will also play an important part, as well as building up resources like coal, wood, and other medical equipment to fight off diseases.

The devs also provided a trailer to show off the game’s mechanics and what Life Is Feudal: Forest Village has to offer. There is one thing that I don’t like about the trailer and that’s the music, I think the devs could have found a better fitting medieval track. But besides that one thing, I do think that Mindillusion did a good job with the trailer showing what players can do, as seen below.

Lastly, the game also allows folks to control their land by either going in the RTS overhead mode, or by going first person and controlling one of the civilians:

“You can rule your village from a birdseye view or possess one of your villagers to perform tasks in a first person view to speed things up or just to wander around.”

As of now, the game is seeking votes on Steam Greenlight and has a release date of 2016 if it passes through successfully. For more information on the civilization simulator game you can head on over to Steam Greenlight.
