Aqua Moto Racing Utopia Races Into Early Access July 13th

Zordix recently announced that they are bringing their Wii U racer, Aqua Moto Racing Utopia, to Steam later this month. In fact, you’ll only have to wait until next week before you can get your hands on the PC version of the jet-ski racing game.

The developers recently sent out word that after they tackled Nintendo’s Wii U with Aqua Moto Racing Utopia, they decided to bring the game to PC. However, before fully launching on PC they wanted to get some community feedback and brush up the title before launching in full.

The PC version has been in the mix for quite some time. They originally announced back in early April that they would be bringing Aqua Moto Racing Utopia to Steam Greenlight. After getting approved they decided to spend some time polishing the game before taking to Early Access.

They released a video showcasing a single lap from one of the many stages in the game, hearkening back to the style of racing and gameplay present in classics like Wave Race 64. You can check it out below.

According to the press release, they want to fix up things like the AI, balancing, and the stages before going live, stating…

“You will get the full game with some beauty marks. We are still working on balance, AIs and tweaking turns from OK to full fun. Early Access is early access but we can promise a fun and interesting way to spend rainy days, days too hot or just those days when you cant leave home for some reason.”

When they launch the game on July 13th the title will be discounted by 33% off for early adopters. They don’t give an exact price but they do mention that there will be split-screen and online multiplayer support, 1080p and 60 frames per second, as well as a full single player campaign.
