Carmageddon: Max Damage Now Available For Xbox One, PS4 At Retail

U&I Entertainment in collaboration with Stainless Games announced that Carmageddon: Max Damage is currently available at retail for the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.

The game is a port of the PC version of Carmageddon that came out not too long ago. It features a dozen different environments and tracks to race and battle across, as well as 30 different vehicles to utilize as players roll over, crash, mutilate and decimate civilians and other vehicles in the process.

Martin Hawk, CEO of U&I Entertainment commented in the press release about the game making its way to Xbox One and PS4 at retail shelves in North America, saying…

“Carmageddon: Max Damage is a cult classic vehicular mayhem series that gives mature audiences the perfect outlet to wreak havoc straight from the master minds at Stainless Games,” […] “We are eager to offer gamers in North America the opportunity to pick up the game from any retail location starting today.”

Helping to cement the release of the title is a trailer showcasing some of the gameplay, some of the unprotected classes you can utterly destroy in the vehicle, and some of the ragdoll effects and physics-based carnage that you can expect during your playthrough of the game.

Riding over nuns in wheelchairs? They really went all out in this game.

The crazy part about it is that Carmageddon: Max Damage has been flying well under the radar leading up to its release on the home consoles. I don’t know if U&I Entertainment preferred it that way, or if the circumstances involving the media trying to move away from promoting violent games just kind of left Max Damage without a home amongst the headlines involving scandals and gossip?

For the most part, Stainless Games have been taking the opportunity to work hard at fixing up the physics and controls of the game from the PC version for the home consoles, rectifying some of the mistakes that were pointed out during the release of Carmgaeddon: Reincarnation.

The game also sports up to 90 different power-ups, each with their own wildly diverse effects that can radically change the landscape of a race.

The game is available right now at local retailers for only $39.99. You can learn more about Carmageddon: Max Damage by visiting the official website.
