Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Will Feature Music From DJ Steve Aoki

Bandai Namco Entertainment let loose a new trailer during the Anime Expo 2016 featuring a look at some of the new content in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. They also announced that DJ Steve Aoki will be contributing some remixes to the game.

Aoki will remix various tunes that were popular from Dragon Ball Z, including “Cha-La Head-Chal-La” and “We Gotta Power”. No remixing love for “Fight The Dragon!”? Bollocks.

DJ Aoki will also appear as a non-playable character in the city hub of Conton that players will be able to interact with, and maybe even grab a mission or two from him?

Eric Hartness, Vice President of Marketing at Bandai Namco Entertainment America briefly commented about the collaboration between the Grammy nominated producer and the Dragon Ball franchise, stating in the press release…

“Both the contribution of DJ Steve Aoki’s musical talents and his in-game likeness will add a fun new dimension to the DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2 experience that fans will appreciate.”

This news was accompanied with the release of the Anime Expo 2016 trailer for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, but sadly we don’t get to see how DJ Aoki looks in the game itself. You can check out the trailer below.

The trailer reveals a couple of new things about Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, including some new hover vehicles to ride around on while in town, some new transformation abilities for your character, along with some of the new foes players will face off against as they attempt to bring villains from different time zones into various eras of the Dragon Ball mythos, disrupting both time and space.

The original Dragon Ball Xenoverse was a huge hit with gamers, selling well across home consoles and PC. The new game will launch for the Xbox One, PS4 and on Steam for PC starting October 25th in North America and October 28th in Europe, later this year. It will support larger game hubs, more than 300 players per shard, and all new customization features.
