Farming Simulator 17 Will Be Playable At Gamescom And Will Release On October 25th

Farming Simulator 17 looks like it’s gearing up to be a big one this October, seeing as how the game might support all of Farming Simulator 15’s mods as well as shipping with console mod support for both PS4 and Xbox One. In addition, those seeking to get some early gameplay in with Astragon Entertainment and Giants Software’s upcoming simulator will be able to at this year’s Gamescom, which will run from August 17th to the 21st, for PC.

The actual game will release later this year for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on October 25th. But while we wait for the hardcore farming simulator to show up, it has a few new things that I’m sure fans will be pleased to hear about, which the devs recently dropped. First off, the game will make an appearance at this year Gamescom at a massive 240 square meter booth, which will hold multiple playable demos of Farming Simulator 17. This information comes from the team’s main site:

“From AUG 17 to AUG 21 2016 you can play Farming Simulator 17 on our 240m2 booth at booth #B41 in hall 8 and have a look at new vehicles, tools and gameplay mechanics ahead of the game’s launch on OCT 25.”

Secondly, those who seek to buy the game on console, preferably the PS4 and Xbox One, will find that mod support will be applicable like on PC, and will almost operate like Bethesda’s console mod support for Fallout 4. This will be a first in the series and will most likely stick around in future iterations, seeing how mod support can change a game and reach more gamers unlike before.

This now brings us to the last piece of information regarding the site Farming Simulator 2017. The source notes that mods from 2015 might be transferable to 2017’s iteration making modding quicker and funner at launch, although it’s worth noting that a grain of salt should be taken with this information seeing how the site refers to its own information as a rumor.

Aside from the news above and the rumor regarding compatible old mod support having a chance showing up in this year’s game, the official version of Farming Simulator 17 will release later this year across said systems on October 25th.
