(Last Updated On: July 26, 2016)

One of Nippon Ichi Software’s most critically acclaimed SRPGs from the PSP and Wii has made its way to PC. The definitive edition of Phantom Brave, known as Phantom Brave PC, is currently available for purchase on Steam for $19.99. During the first week of being on sale you can get the game for only $17.99 at 10% off the normal price. There’s also a free demo available that you can download to test the game out and see if it fits your fancy.

Phantom Brave PC comes bundled with Phantom Brave: The Hermuda Triangle and Phantom Brave: We Meet Again. You get all of this content from the PSP and Wii versions of the game jammed into a single package.

The game sees players taking on the role of a dead soldier named Ash who now lives as a phantom on the island Ivoire, along with Marona, who can see phantoms and takes on freelance work fulfilling tasks found within bottled messages she receives.

The game is touted to have more than 100 hours worth of gameplay, side-missions, questing and story to tell, along with strategic combat and lots of varied enemies. You can check out the trailer below to get an idea of what the game is like.

The combat takes place on an open field and players can freely move around as they see fit. Actions are carried out by summoning phantoms onto the field to fight on Marona’s behalf. Players can travel throughout the game world, completing tasks, gathering phantoms and getting stronger. It’s a little like Bahamut Lagoon and Disgaea.

The user reviews for the title are extremely positive. A lot of people love what the game features, the amount of replayability, the sensibility in the storytelling, as well as the combat and visuals.

Of course, you don’t have to take anyone’s word for what Phantom Brave PC features. You can actually play it for yourself, for free, by grabbing the demo from over on the Steam store page. If you like what you play and you would like to experience more, you can always pick up a digital copy at your own convenience.
