Pokemon Go Pokedrone Lets You Fly Around To Catch ‘Em All

TRNDLabs announced that they have a new device designed for Niantic Labs and Nintendo’s Pokemon Go called the PokeDrone. They recently announced the new device over on their official website, along with releasing a promotional trailer to showcase how it works and how gamers will be able to capture Pokemon from hard to reach locations.

The device will enable gamers to fly to locations and battle and capture Pokemon from spots where you can’t reach on foot. In fact, that’s the main theme of the very short and very direct promotional trailer that TRNDLabs released recently. You can check it out below to get a gist of the remote drone device and the controller system that attaches to your smartphone. It’s just under 30 seconds, so you’re not going to lose any time watching it.

They describe in the press release that it’s a safer and more convenient method for venturing into high risk or mobile-deficient areas that might otherwise prevent you from adding a Pokemon to your collection, stating…

“TRNDlabs’ Pokédrone is specially designed for all Pokémon Go players. Once connected via WiFi to your phone, the Pokémon Go app uses the Pokédrone’s GPS and camera instead of the phone’s GPS and Camera. With the Pokédrone’s auto take-off & land function there is no need to worry about your drone-flying skills.”

There was a recent thread on Reddit about a guy using a drone to fly around and capture Pokemon in Pokemon Go. A lot of people called him lazy while others said that he was cheating. Of course, having a more legitimate looking device that doesn’t require you to duct tape your smartphone to a drone just might be the sort of thing to change some minds about using drones to play the game.

They don’t offer a release date on the Pokedrone or how much it will cost, but the design and features make it seem as if it will be a pretty penny.
