Earthlock: Festival Of Magic Set To Launch This Fall

Publisher Soedesco and developer Snowcastle Games announced that their take-turn RPG will hit PS4, PC and Xbox One this Fall. Sporting both retail and digital versions, the trailer details what Earthlock: Festival Of Magic has to offer RPG fans.

If you are into adventure based games that hold some RPG elements into its core mechanics, you’ll most likely find Snowcastle Games’ project something of interest. However, if you are also into classic take-turn battles, the trailer will probably be something worth checking out to get a better look at Earthlock: Festival Of Magic.

Taking a quick look at the game’s story, it follows a desert scavenger Amon who is in search of his uncle. He finds himself in the adventure of his life when he meets with a strange creature back home — in a place called Zaber. Amon and other heroes venture across the world of Umbra, which stopped spinning thousands of cycles ago, to save his missing uncle from a mysterious force…

Enter a beautiful world haunted by its fateful past and join a party of unlikely heroes on their journey to rescue Amon´s uncle from an ancient cult and uncover the secret of the Earthlock.

Before jumping into the trailer, I notice that the devs noted in the official features that the game holds “Fast and deep turned-based battles”, but after watching the video it looks like any other turned-based game. Unless they just wanted to make the battle system sound special, which is likely.

Anyways, with that said, the semi-old trailer below shows the take turn-battle system, exploring, and other features in a one minute and 30 second long package. You can watch the video courtesy of Snowcastle Games‘ official YouTube channel.

As of now, I don’t really know what to think of Earthlock: Festival Of Magic, but seeing that it is an indie project that doesn’t look glitchy, and is well polished, it has my interest. I just hope the devs deliver on a solid take-turn adventure RPG that isn’t shallow at heart.

If you are interested in this game, it will hit PC (via Steam) and Xbox One on September 1st, and sometime this Fall for PS4. For more information on Earthlock: Festival Of Magic, you can head on over to the game’s official website.
