Superdimension Neptune Vs Sega Hard Girls Launches October 18th In America

The name alone seems like it would dictate that it would never come to America, but Idea Factory International’s Superdimension Neptune Vs Sega Hard Girls will be launching on October 18th for the PlayStation Vita in North America and on October 21st in Europe.

Sega Nerds spotted the news after Idea Factory released some details about the portable game, which reveal that the game is an action-adventure title scouring the likes of Sega’s illustrious console run.

Players take on the role of the young girl IF, who must travel through time and space to restore the fabric of reality after balance was knocked out of whack when the books of the Grand Library of the universe have ended up going missing.

Players will use IF to travel through the library of Sega titles with the Sega Hard Girls and the goddesses in order to restore universal balance. This includes teaming up with girls named after Sega’s consoles, including Sega Hatsumi, Dream Cast, Sega Saturn, Game Gear and Mega Drive, as well as Neptune, IF, Nepgear, Plutia and Uzume.

The game is like a mix of platforming meets JRPG turn-based combat, with players being able to modify and customize the roles and classes of their party members as they face off against the forces of evil.

Superdimension Neptune vs Sega Hard Girls is the kind of game that will give those fans of Otaku culture something real juicy to salivate over, mixing moe themes with the traditional fan-service of the Hyperdimension series, it sounds like there will be plenty to enjoy for fans of these Japanese-themed RPGs and J-Pop oriented character parties.

You can look for this title to launch in North America starting October 18th for the PlayStation Vita. Also, don’t be surprised if the game eventually ends up on Steam several months after it makes the leap to Sony’s handheld.
