The Witcher 3 has a lot of content in the base game, and if you include the DLCs it might last you some time before discovering everything. However, if you have already found everything and are looking for something a bit more satisfying, two new mods might help you out with your Witcher 3 experience.
The Witcher 3 is out now for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Unfortunately, unlike Fallout 4, or the upcoming Farming Simulator 2017, there’s no official mod support for Witcher 3 fans on consoles. Still, if you have the PC version you can enjoy all sorts of custom content, like the first mod in this article that comes from modder Reaperzz.
Sadly, trying to summarize everything in the overhaul mod named Enhanced Edition, would be a very long wall of text. To detail it in a concise way, it changes a lot of graphical elements, enemies, scaling, magic and pretty much everything mechanically in the vanilla version.
The mod is a great alternative for those who are seeking something new and adventurous in their Witcher lives. To read up on the mod you can head on over to NexusMods (which holds the long wall of text), or you can watch a video summary below by Origier Does Gaming that runs well over 20 minutes.
The next mod doesn’t change any gameplay mechanics, but it does add to the atmosphere of the Enhanced Edition if you pair the two together seeing how it graphically adds adaptive “super turbo” lighting to the game.
It’s worth noting that lighting mods are purely up to the player who download them. For instance, it’s all about one’s preference, because some players like a crisp look while others like a more colorful tone.
Additionally, the lighting can be altered to fit your preference, in case the mod clashes with other mods. With that said, you can either download the mod now over on Firemanaf’s NexusMods page, or you can check the mod out in action courtesy of Jeff Kelloway.
