Mortal Kombat XL Steam Release Met With A Lot Of Positive User Feedback

PC gamers had to wait all year long for Warner Bros., Interactive Entertainment to finally get a decent port house to move over Mortal Kombat XL and the Kombat Pack 2 to PC, but it arrived. Better late than never is the general sentiment being shared amongst PC gamers at the moment.

The Mortal Kombat XL pack and the additional patches and updates brought forward through Kombat Pack 2 are available for purchase either through bundles or individually.

If you don’t own the original copy of Mortal Kombat X but you would like to get your hands on Mortal Kombat XL, you can do so by picking it up for $39.99. According to the Steam store you’ll save around $5 instead of buying each of the DLC packs and the game separately.

If you already own Mortal Kombat X and you want the second Kombat Pack, you can grab it for $19.99. Both Kombat Packs are currently discounted by 50% off for the first week of being made available on Steam, so technically you can get the second Kombat Pack for only $9.99 for one week only.

As for the patch notes on what they updated for the base game, you’re looking at 23GB worth of updates.

According to WB Games rep Alicia, she posted up the patch notes on Steam, where there’s a rundown of tons of features and options available and at the disposal of PC gamers, including fixes for online crashes and general game crashes, new tool tips for PC users in the video options menu, new borderless window mode support, fixed FPS slowdown in certain stages, an improvement over widescreen support, along with enhanced netcode and improved shadow and black crush visualizations.

The comment section and the user reviews from Steam gamers are lighting it up with positivity. A lot of them are saying “Thank you!” to Warner Bros and praising them for not completely giving up on PC gamers.

Sillyskeleton wrote…

“Sounds like MKX has finally been brought up to snuff and worthy for purchase. Well done, guys. A game fixed late is far better than a game abandoned. “

Marcus_BigHouse also offered his thanks to Warner Bros., writing…

“For someone as me that has been raging alot asking for refund after the “no more updates for PC”, I’m like woooooow right now. Thank you guys. Hope the netcode is really good as PS4 version :)”

SupaBeardyMan also had a fair bit of back-patting to offer, but also issued a word of warning to Warner Bros., not to repeat those mistakes for the upcoming InJustice 2

“Just finished playing the new update. Everthing works as it should. Thank you for finally fixing the game. Please don’t repeat your mistakes with the PC port for injustice 2. “

You can check the user review section on Steam and see just how much positivity is circulating through the community at the moment. A lot of people are giving praise to port house QLOC for pulling Mortal Kombat XL back tight for PC, and thanking WB for not abandoning PC gamers for good after screwing up the original release of Mortal Kombat X and Batman: Arkham Knight last year.

You can pick up a digital copy of Mortal Kombat XL right now for PC by visiting the Steam store.
