Owlboy, 2D Adventure Game Now Available For PC Via Steam

Noted to be a “hi-bit” adventure game, Owlboy is now finally out for young and old gamers alike to play. Releasing November 1st for PC via Steam, the indie pixel game by D-Pad Studio is said to provide fun obstacles, enemies and one of the “most detailed adventures of this era.”

If you are into 2D adventure games, preferably platform games, you may like Owlboy. Indie developers D-Pad Studio just released a new trailer to highlight the game’s entry on Steam, which comes in to show off its “hi-bit” art design and gameplay.

But first, those wondering what Owlboy is about and seek to get a nice bite-sized description of what the game will have players doing, the description sits below.

Owlboy is a ‘hi-bit’ adventure game, where you can fly and explore a brand new world in the clouds! Pick up your friends, and bring them with you as you explore the open skies. Overcome obstacles and greater enemies, in one of the most detailed adventures of this era.

As for the story in Owlboy players will assume the character Otus, a young, mute owl boy, who happens to stumble into the leadership role after the Sky Pirates attack his home town. Upon taking responsibility unintentionally after the attack, Otus must use his ability to fly around and restore his homeland and to save his friends from danger.

As of course, puzzles and combat will find their way into Owlboy to mix the core gameplay up, which can be seen in the older trailer for the game below. The video comes in courtesy of D-Pad Studio‘s channel.

Although the trailer above is old we do get a newer trailer that was recently published showing a more cinematic aspect of the realm of Owlboy, which I do have to say that the new video does a nice job of showing the world and gameplay of the 2D adventure game. Though some clips of the older video appear in the newer video (below), we do get to see more in-game footage of Owlboy. You can check the video out below.

Owlboy is out now with a special 10% off promotion that will end on November 8th, which takes its price point down from $24.99 to $22.49. For more information on this game you can head on over to Steam, or you can hit up owlboygame.com.
